OUR ATE/KUYA/ADING (AKA) PROGRAM
WHAT IS AKA?
One of the pillars of FSA is pamilya, and our Ate/Kuya/Ading (AKA) Program emphasizes this by building a family-oriented and supportive community for our members while they're away at college. AKA pairings are made with extensive thought and consideration to ensure that everyone feels at home with us in Athens.
AKA pairs are placed into larger AKA families that help deepen the bond within FSA! Some of the notable activities that families participate in include karaoke nights, game nights, movie nights, intramural sports, and the fall Corn Maze trip.
FSA also hosts the AKA Competition where families compete against each other throughout the school year for points. The winning family is then awarded a trophy at our annual Filipino Culture Night in the spring!
